Scribblenauts Unlimited is an open-world puzzle adventure where you use your imagination to solve all kinds of challenges across the game world. You play as Maxwell, working to rescue the people he cares about. The core mechanic lets you add, adjust, and rewrite item properties so they behave in ways that help you clear each level. Items you create can be saved to your inventory for later, making progression smoother. The game also receives ongoing updates—bringing in fresh characters, new levels, and additional environments—so there’s always something new to look forward to.

Story

The journey starts when Maxwell and Lily receive two extraordinary gifts from their parents: a globe that can take you anywhere you point it, and a powerful notebook capable of creating anything you describe—just write what you want inside.

To keep the kids from becoming spoiled or ungrateful, their parents send them out to explore and help make the world a better place. Unfortunately, the siblings don’t behave as well as expected. They pull a cruel prank on an elderly man who was begging for food, and Lily is punished—slowly turning into stone.

Now Maxwell searches for help from his oldest brother, Edwin, who is understandably furious about what happened. Edwin does, however, know how to break the curse. He explains that the brothers must seek a special magical energy called Starlites. These can be produced when other people appreciate your help.

With that in mind, Maxwell sets off to save his sister—using the notebook to solve problems for others and earn Starlites through their gratitude.
