Trials of Mana Introduction

Trials of Mana Trials of Mana is a real-time strategy action RPG where you command one of six heroes. Build combat plans, train attributes, evolve through Light or Dark job paths, and unlock Nirvana Skills to stop world extinction.

Trials of Mana

Trials of Mana is a fast, real-time action RPG with strategy elements. You control one of six playable characters, and your choices shape the tale you experience—deciding your character’s path and ultimate destiny.

The game includes six distinct heroes—Duran, Angela, Lisz, Hawkeye, Kevin, and Charlotte. Each one follows its own career route and uses an evolution system. Your mission is to defeat evil monsters and help prevent the world from ending. With a deep combat system, social features, and beautiful 3D anime-style visuals, the adventure is built to feel both stylish and engaging.

Brilliant Performance

You can fine-tune combat objectives and strategic plans depending on your team setup to help improve overall efficiency. As you level up, you also earn training points, which you can spend through the training menu.

In the training menu, you can allocate points to five attributes:

  • Strength
  • Defense
  • Intelligence
  • Spirit
  • Luck

Spending points helps unlock additional skills, abilities, and special skills, strengthening your character in combat.

Attacks, Rebirth Skills, and Nirvana Skills

  • Each character has two physical attack types: normal attacks and heavy attacks.
  • Each character also has four rebirth skills.
  • Trials of Mana

  • At the start of the game, each character can use only one Nirvana Skill.
  • You can obtain new Nirvana Skills only after job changes.
  • The stronger a Nirvana Skill is, the more Skill Points (SP) it costs.

Job Changes (Light and Dark)

A single character can switch jobs three times:

  • First job change: at level 18
  • Second job change: at level 38 and requires the appropriate job change item
  • Third job change: after clearing the customs

There are two job change routes: Light and Dark. After switching jobs, you’ll be able to:

Trials of Mana

  • Learn new Nirvana Skills
  • Improve your character’s normal combo abilities
  • Expand skill slots you can equip
  • Trials of Mana

  • Access special skills through the training menu
  • Unlock new costumes

If you feel unhappy with your character’s stats after a job change, you can visit the Goddess and use a reset item to switch jobs again.

Trials of Mana

Unreal Engine Visuals and Character Appeal

This game runs on Unreal Engine, bringing upgraded 3D high-definition visuals that feel more expressive than the original SFC version’s 2D pixel style. Character models are highly detailed with rich textures. Many players are especially drawn to the three female characters, particularly Angela, who is known for her magic skills.
