Hicked is a visual novel set in Japan, placing you in a striking dystopian future. The story unfolds in a freshly built capital city in Kanagawa Prefecture, where you’ll step into a world that feels reborn—but not necessarily better.

You play as Ikaru Kai, a young man who leaves a quiet rural town for Kanagawa and soon crosses paths with a mysterious new people known as the God Killers—a distinct race recognizable by their white hair. Through exploration, conversations, and clue-gathering, you’ll slowly uncover where the God Killers came from and what led them to their current plight.

Story

A tale set far from the present.

When the moon fades and the stars grow dim, the light disappears from the night sky.

In that colorless world, the two of you finally meet.

The events of Hicked take place in a dystopian future Japan. After civilization was shattered by a world war, it was rebuilt over hundreds of years. As a symbol of this new era, Kannagawa—Japan’s new capital prefecture—was formed.

Ikaru Kai, originally from the countryside, arrives in Kannagawa and encounters a group called the God Killers. They’re feared, judged, and pushed down due to the discrimination they’ve endured. What follows is Ikaru’s determination to help, even if he can’t rewrite the entire world.

On his journey, he meets Makiri Shogo, a classmate who has been bullied—and who is also a God Killer.
