Jurassic World: The Game Introduction

Jurassic World: The Game Jurassic World: The Game is a thrilling dinosaur park simulation where you breed species with genetics, build attractions, and earn to expand—plus an Arena mode with type-based creature battles.

Jurassic World: The Game

Jurassic World: The Game is a popular simulation and management game that brings the movie’s characters and dinosaurs to life. You’ll experience a range of classic moments while building an immersive dinosaur world of your own. The core gameplay revolves around running your very own dinosaur park: breeding dinosaurs using genetics, constructing different facilities to bring in more visitors, earning money to unlock and upgrade new buildings, and growing your collection even further with each success.

The game also receives ongoing updates, adding new dinosaur species along with fresh activities and gameplay variations—so there’s always something new to do.

Arena

The Arena mode returns from Jurassic Park: Builder. In this mode, you form a team of up to three prehistoric creatures and battle against opponents’ creatures.

Compared with earlier versions, the combat system has been redesigned. On each turn, you can choose to:

  • Attack
  • Defend
  • Hold/Reserve a move

If you reserve an action, it carries over into the next turn. With this system, you can plan up to eight moves per turn (by reserving). In general, the more attacks you execute in a single turn, the greater the damage you can deal.

Creatures also belong to types, and each type has strengths and weaknesses that affect outcomes.

Jurassic Types

  • Carnivores: strong against Herbivores, weak to Amphibians. Mostly represented by theropod dinosaurs, plus some synapsids.
  • Herbivores: strong against Pterosaurs, weak to Carnivores. Mostly represented by non-theropod dinosaurs (with exceptions including ornithomimids, therizinosaurids, and raphines).
  • Pterosaurs: strong against Amphibians, weak to Herbivores. Includes several species of large pterosaurs, along with some smaller ones.
  • Amphibians: strong against Carnivores, weak to Pterosaurs. Mostly large amphibians, with additional members such as various archosaurs, crocodylomorphs, and primitive tetrapods.

Aquatic Types

  • Surfaces: strong against Caves, weak to Reefs. Among the first types revealed—introduced when Mosasaurus was released before the Aquatic Park update. Represented by mosasaurs, plesiosaurs, and shark-like fish.
  • Jurassic World: The Game

  • Caves: strong against Reefs, weak to Surfaces. Primarily non-tetrapods such as non-cartilaginous fish and cephalopods, plus crocodile-like reptiles.
  • Reefs: strong against Surfaces, weak to Caves. Represented by pliosaurs, leptocleidids, ichthyosaurs, and turtle-like reptiles. Currently the only type made entirely of marine reptiles.

Cenozoic Types

  • Snows: strong against Savannahs, weak to Caverns. The first type revealed for this era, coinciding with the Woolly Mammoth release before the Cenozoic Park update. Made up entirely of mammals, featuring elephants, deer-like mammals, cat-like mammals, and bear-like mammals.
  • Jurassic World: The Game

  • Savannahs: strong against Caverns, weak to Snows. Includes flightless birds, rhinoceros-like mammals (except the Woolly Rhinoceros), kangaroos, indricotheres, and entelodonts.
  • Caverns: strong against Snows, weak to Savannahs. Represented by dog-like mammals, giant ground sloths (except Mylodon), large snakes, turtles, and glyptodonts.

Use the money to purchase new dinosaurs with stronger fighting potential, improving your chances of winning. As you expand your roster, try to diversify your dinosaur collection so you can adapt to different matchups.
