Gameplay

Before you jump into combat, make sure your hero is ready. In Hero’s Quest, you can choose from multiple heroes. Each hero features distinct stats and bonus values, along with pixel-art skins. Reviewing each hero’s strengths helps you pick the best option for the type of fight you’re preparing for.

After selecting your hero, you’ll choose from a range of passive skills. Pick an offensive, defensive, or utility style depending on how you want the gameplay to feel.

To level up faster and hit harder, focus on tougher monsters and bosses. The stronger the enemies you defeat, the more progress you make. You can also unlock new maps, combine relics, and upgrade your equipment. Best of all, combat is fully automatic—you mainly need to plan your strategy, set your choices, and let the game handle the fight.

For tougher battles, upgrading your heroes’ stats regularly is key. The more you invest in your heroes, the stronger they become, and the easier it is to keep advancing.

Useful Tips

• Choose your hero build wisely: Use Spellcaster for endgame. For early to mid game, consider Shadow Master, which provides 50% extra Luck.
• Relics matter: Equip your best Max Energy relics and your best EXP relic. If you don’t have enough, use EXP relics and Luck relics instead.



• Boss rushing strategy: When you reach Max Energy, use a 2 mobs / 1 boss approach—hit 2 mobs first to gain 2 Energy from the boss, then proceed. Keep pushing this way until you reach your final destination/boss.
• Stat allocation approach: During this phase, lean into offensive stats. You can also use a half-and-half method: put 50% of your points into one stat and the rest into another. A common setup is HP/Luck first (up to a comfort point), then switch toward Attack/Luck.
• After HP and Attack feel stable: Shift all remaining points into Luck. At that point, replace Max Energy relics with EXP or Luck relics once you’ve used the benefits from your Max Energy relics.
• Relic swapping at the right thresholds: If you’re at (example) 47 Energy (from base max plus your +6, +4, +2 Max Energy relics), and you need to swap Max Energy relics to EXP/Luck:
  • Change the +2 relic at 46 Energy (move to the next highest EXP relic).
  • Change the +4 relic at 42 Energy.
  • Change the +6 relic at 36 Energy (to the next highest Luck relic).



• It’s okay to backtrack: If needed, go back for extra Energy so you can earn enough gold for your next gear upgrade. Some bosses may be left behind for later.
