Our Life: Now & Forever is a beloved life-simulation game where you can live through an entire chaptered life. Customize your character’s look, choose a name, and pick clothing that fits your style—then set out to build your own meaningful story.

Characters

Qiu “Autumn” Lin

Qiu is a real Golden Grove local—born and raised, and someone everyone knows. They’re the charming, popular kid… right up until life gets too intense. At some point, Qiu shuts down emotionally, keeping distance from most people and only letting a small circle in. But the rain doesn’t last forever. With genuine support, the sadness can fade, and Qiu eventually finds their way back to the light—shining even brighter than before.

In Autumn, you’ll meet a thoughtful person who simply needs time to fully embrace who they’ve always felt they were. Qiu was assigned male at birth, and later comes out as genderfluid (they/he) partway through the story.

Tamarack Baumann

Tamarack is another newcomer who moved in about a week before you do. She’s warm, upbeat, and a joy to be around. Like the forest she loves, Tamarack changes—sometimes in big ways, sometimes in subtle ones. Unfortunately, not every change leads to happier outcomes.

She’s surrounded by the wrong influences, which pull her toward paths that hurt. Still, even when life catches her with sharp snags, her core heart remains steady.

With Tamarack, you’ll get to know a kind girl who has a lot to learn about herself—but she won’t stop trying to find her footing. Tamarack uses she/her pronouns.

Build Your Life With Them

Set up your unique “dynamic meters” to describe how you tend to treat one of the lead characters. Keep it steady or change it over time as your personality grows. Over the years, Qiu’s and Tamarack’s dynamic with you will develop in a personalized way based on who you are and what happens in-game.

A romance with Qiu or Tamarack can grow in many styles, including:

Your shared story will be detailed and layered, with real history behind it—yet still feel as natural as autumn leaves turning color.

• Character customization for name, appearance, personality, and pronouns (he/him, she/her, they/them, and more—use multiple if you want). Your mom can also be customized to match.
• As you grow, you can revise your character’s details—including transitioning to new pronouns.

• Two love interests: Tamarack (female, she/her) and Qiu (genderfluid, they/he). Their relationship dynamics with you evolve uniquely over the years based on your shared experiences.

• Customize letter size, font style, and text placement, so dialogue appears the way you prefer.

Changelog

Since Our Life: Now & Forever won’t arrive in its originally planned Fall 2025 window, the demo updates will work a bit differently. In the past, we’d make smaller tweaks—improving what’s already in the demo while keeping it (mostly) demo-sized.

This time, we’re going bigger. The demo is meant to give you a fun amount of time to spend, even if that means the demo ends up surprisingly long. That’s okay.

Next Demo Update

The next demo update is scheduled for Fall 2025. It will include everything below:

• The Step 1 Moment “Fancy Fun”
• The rest of the Step 2 prologue (the length of two Moments)
• The Step 2 Moment “Assistance”

Overall, this is four times larger than a typical demo update—plus an enormous 110,000 words of new content. And that’s on top of what’s already included.

In total, the demo will feature two full prologues and four complete Moments, making it one of the most substantial demo releases we’ve done so far.
