Story

2032. Humanity is on the verge of a major technological breakthrough. A team of scientists develops a material with extraordinary strength, hyper-elastic properties, and impressive energy-saving efficiency. But its most remarkable trait is its ability to self-repair.

That breakthrough leads to a regenerative “pill” form of the material. People with limited capabilities can become fully functional again—gaining strength, sharper minds, and even an extended lifespan.

Worried about the consequences of this kind of power, the researchers choose to erase their work. They destroy records, reports, and anything tied to the project, scattering in different directions. Yet, as always happens, someone finds what remains—and decides to finish it.

The result is the creation of the globally banned terrorist organization known as “Masquerade”. In response, leaders from major corporations launch a large-scale operation to hunt down the person responsible and wipe out every trace of the research.

You are a former soldier, burdened by guilt after witnessing the atrocities carried out during that operation. Unable to live with what you did, you disappear to a remote town on the edge of the world—cut off from the rest of civilization—planning to build a quiet life with your wife and children, far from the troubles of the past.

Of course, life doesn’t follow your plans. One day, your wife leaves for a business trip to a research institute and suddenly stops contacting you. Determined to learn what happened, you set out on a journey.

Days turn into weeks, then months, then years. Eventually, you come to terms with the possibility that you may never see her again, locking your emotions away. Then, one day, your son arrives—asking for your help—bringing a flicker of hope that your peaceful life might still be within reach.
