In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the goal is to discover brand-new areas, events, and Pokémon species. You’ll be encouraged to spend time outdoors—wandering, scouting, and engaging with the world—because the game is built around constant movement.

The story begins in a surprising way. After a mysterious happening, you wake up and find yourself no longer in the present. Instead, you’ve landed in Hisui, a distant era inspired by the ancient Sinnoh region from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl. Some familiar elements remain, but the world feels fundamentally different. Back then, people didn’t yet understand wild Pokémon well, there was no formal training school for Trainers, and everything was still raw and untamed—perfect ground for anyone with a curious, adventurous heart.
