Card Opening Mechanism (Gacha Style)

Card packs in NBA LIVE Mobile Basketball use a gacha-style system. In other words, you won’t know what card you’ll get until you open the pack. Useful Tips

Look at the tab under Campaigns on the main menu—this is the Daily Beats section. It’s a solid way to get new players and strengthen your lineup. For example, the Legends events can unlock standout players from NBA history. As of the time of this writing, that includes names such as James Worthy, David Robinson, and Jerry Stackhouse.

Usually, completing the first challenge in Legends events rewards you with a player card for that first win. You may also receive tokens, which you can save to unlock highly-rated players in the late 80s and 90s overall—often through events like Impact. Other events can also reward various NBA Live Mobile resources, including coins, stamina, and additional player cards.

It’s also a good idea to push as far as you can in Daily Beats events. After you earn your first player card reward, you’ll typically gain resources you can use to raise that player’s rating—building a stronger roster you can keep using as you work toward promotion in Showdown mode.

Season mode may not feel as exciting at first. Early matches often pit you against weaker AI-controlled opponents, and the rewards can be less impressive—usually common players with ratings that aren’t very high. However, as noted in beginner guidance, opponents become stronger over time, and rewards improve as well. That’s why you should regularly update your roster using players from daily and special events (including currently ongoing Black Friday events).
