Monster Warlord is an action-adventure game where you play as a trainer. Take on quests and battles to capture monsters from six elemental attributes, then merge them to strengthen your lineup. In PvP matches against other players—or in dungeons where you face boss monsters—you can strategically use each monster’s abilities to turn the tide, win valuable rewards, and climb the leaderboards.

You can also team up with others anytime: join or create alliances, coordinate with members, join in boss fights, and earn additional bonus rewards.

Useful Tips

There are different battle modes. For detailed information, check the Battles section. Here’s how the first battle type works:

• Attacking another player: your monsters’ total attack (including skill points spent on ATK) is compared to the opponent’s total defense (including skill points spent on DEF).
• Win condition: the side with the higher value wins.
• If you win: you gain experience (a random amount from 2 to 10; VIP can increase this) and a portion of the opponent’s gold. You won’t gain gold if the opponent has 9 gold coins or less.
• If you lose: you still gain 2 XP.
• Health loss: you always lose health during fights. Losing usually costs you more HP than winning.
• HP limits: you can only lose between 1 and 24 HP. If your total HP is 25 or less, you can’t start battles.
• When someone attacks you (defending): the rules are similar, with one difference—if the attacker loses, you get 1 XP; if they win, you get no XP.

Monster Progression: What Matters Most

This game is largely about monsters. Your main goal is to build the strongest monster team you can. Monsters are required for nearly everything, and stronger monsters generally lead to better results.

• Monster stats: when you view a monster, you’ll see its stats.
• Most important stats: Attack, Defense, and its Leader Effect.
• Attack: increases your team’s total attack/damage output.
• Defense: increases your total defense and how much damage you can absorb.
• If your opponent’s total attack is higher than your total defense, they have a strong chance to win.

Leader Effect can be activated by assigning the monster as a leader.

• Go to Profile > tap a monster > choose appoint as leader.
• You can also tap your leader monster’s portrait next to your name to open a menu showing the different Leader Effect types.

• If you have 2 monsters of the same tier/level and the tier/level is Uncommon or higher, you can combine them to obtain a monster from a higher tier.
• Look for the in-game sections that explain combining and tiers/levels for more details.

Buildings, Mines, and Guilds

Buildings are crucial because they generate gold every hour. Gold is needed for many core activities, including:

• Combining monsters



• Buying Common monsters



• Healing your team
• Buying mines
• Creating a guild

You can only build certain structures after reaching the required player level.

• I used to play this and just returned. It’s one of the best games in its category. There’s an enormous amount to do, and it keeps you interested. The developers also seem to care about players instead of squeezing them constantly. Yes, there are microtransactions, but they have to earn revenue somehow—still, it’s worth trying.
• You can play this casually or stay on all day. The mechanics are easy to learn, and the game has raid-style boss events happening basically every hour.
