Hovercraft: Takedown is a standout 3D racing game where you pilot a range of police hovercrafts along highways to track down criminals who are breaking the rules. As you play, you’ll build and expand your own hovercraft step by step, starting from scratch. Expect deep hovercraft customization, smooth and responsive handling, and a gameplay loop that’s easy to get hooked on. You can also find and collect card packs to earn coins and unlock vehicles—so your experience can match your style.

Gameplay

In Hovercraft: Takedown, the goal is similar to other games in the same genre: clear a path through a wooded area. You do this by driving through the zone, taking down bosses, and then using the bonuses and boosters you earn to push through obstacles faster.

When you destroy a car, the game shows how many obstacles you’ve smashed in the top-right corner. That number increases as you clear more hovercrafts, and your score rises along with each vehicle you remove.

Points are calculated after each car you take down. For example:

• After 80 cars: you earn 880 points.
• Drive farther from the accident: the farther you get, the higher your points.
• Keep moving without stopping: your speed ramps up and you’ll run into more obstacles.

Once a car is destroyed, its parts break off and move toward you. Getting hit isn’t an instant failure—each impact only removes a small portion of your life bar (a single notch). This helps prevent the game from ending too early; instead, it continues until your hovercraft takes enough damage to effectively fail.

While you play, you’ll also receive helpful tips, including advice on protecting your power core, thrusters, and weapons.

Critical warning: if an important part gets damaged or lost, you’ll lose control of your hovercraft, including your ability to steer in the right direction.

Weapons also affect your performance through your anger meter: using weapons drains anger, and that influences how many bonuses you earn per takedown. If you run out of weapons, you can still finish enemies off by ramming them as a last resort.

The game’s responsiveness and smooth controls are designed to deliver memorable moments.

If you’re still learning how to handle your vehicle or understand the rules, don’t worry. Before you enter the real battlefield, you’ll get proper guidance and go through plenty of practice rounds. Once you know the basics, you can jump into tougher fights against real racers and “super thieves.” Your bonuses and obstacle progress are clearly shown on-screen.

COLLECT WEAPONS AND VEHICLES

Grow into either a weapon powerhouse or a vehicle boss by searching for and collecting card packages. Each card pack can include different perks, such as vehicle upgrades, coin bonuses, weapon giveaways, and more. You can also purchase card bundles from the store or wait for free card packs provided by the game.

You can further earn resources by joining races for coins. Push through long routes, gather bonuses, and use them to buy items that help you unlock a wider variety of weapons and additional vehicles.

DESIGN AND UPGRADE YOUR HOVERCRAFT

If you lose control during a race and collide with obstacles—causing damage—you can switch to car upgrade mode. Your hovercraft will be repaired back to like-new condition, and you’ll be able to make it faster and stronger than before.

Beyond the vehicles you receive from the game, you can also create a distinctive hovercraft of your own—choosing and mixing different parts and designs to build something that feels truly unique.
