Main Highlights

Customize racing cars with many parts

In the customization center, you can swap and upgrade a wide range of components. Change the hood, wheels, paint/skin, side skirt, spoilers, mirrors, and rollcage. You can also apply stickers and theme-based decorations using unique icons. Whether you prefer clean minimal styling or bold color, there are options for every taste. As long as you have enough money, your creativity is the real limit.

Customization isn’t only visual—your cars can also be improved with performance upgrades. Replace or upgrade engine parts to make your vehicle faster, stronger, and safer. Your driving style will determine what you prioritize: sometimes you’ll want smooth, stable handling, and other times you’ll want that “cheetah-like” acceleration for unreal speed on the track.

A large city-style map

Unlike other games in the genre, Project Drift takes you into a street environment. The map includes buildings, houses, entertainment areas, overpasses, and even skyscrapers.

There are no strict speed rules or rigid event limitations—so you can enjoy the freedom of driving your way. Cruise through the city to earn DP and make money, or go for daring drifts on the track.

Note: the driving physics are intentionally surreal, so steering and control can be tricky. Use this test version to practice first—exciting races will be waiting soon.

Easy-to-understand controller

The controls use a familiar racing layout with on-screen guidance. On the left, you’ll find the button to steer left or right. On the right, there are speed buttons and a lever for acceleration and control. At the top of the screen, you can see your DP points and gold coin status.

You can also communicate with other players using microphone chat. The entire experience runs in a third-person view.

Drifting Strategies and Tips

PROJECT:DRIFT

  • Pick a car that matches your style. Try different vehicles to learn how each one handles in multiple modes and maps.
  • Customize and tune for better drifting. Adjust parts, decals, colors, neon effects, and settings to optimize both appearance and performance.
  • Practice across modes and locations. Train in arcade or pro drift modes depending on your skill level, and practice on race tracks, tunnels, parking areas, and tandem runway-style zones.
  • Use smooth, accurate inputs. Control the car with the steering wheel, accelerator, brake, handbrake, and clutch. You can also tweak sensitivity and control layout to fit your preferences.
  • Start a drift with the handbrake. Press the handbrake button/key to slide the car sideways, then fine-tune your direction from there.
