Kingdoms & Lords is a medieval war strategy game where you recruit brave soldiers and build a range of production and resource facilities. Over time, you turn a small settlement into a formidable kingdom. To win turn-based battles against other players, you must pick from many troop types and position them intelligently—matching each unit’s strengths against the enemy’s weaknesses. As you advance, success depends on keeping a healthy rhythm between raiding for resources, running your economy, and planning military campaigns.

Gameplay: Key Systems

Tasks

Tasks function like a guided quest list. They’ll ask you to build new building types, roads, and decorations, expand your army, and launch attacks on other territories. Think of them as a progression roadmap—helping you know what to do next rather than figuring everything out from scratch.

Coins

In the top-left corner, you’ll see a gold coin. Coins are the main in-game currency used to buy many essential elements such as buildings and roads.

Crystals

Next to coins are crystals, the premium currency. Crystals can be used to purchase more advanced buildings, additional army types, and more. You can buy crystals with real money or earn them gradually through gameplay.

Energy

Beside the crystals is energy. Most actions consume energy, and once it runs out, you’ll need to buy more or wait for time to pass so your supply refills.

Level

The shield icon next to energy shows your leveling progress. With each level you gain crystals and unlock new building options and soldier types.

Settler Icons

When you open your city, you may see pop-up icons featuring characters from your settlement. Tapping these icons is another way to begin quests, in addition to using the main task bar.

Shop

The shop lets you purchase various buildings, decorations, and other items. You can also buy expansion to secure more land for your city. Like many items, expansion options come in two payment types: coins (free) and crystals (premium).
