Will Hero is an arcade action platformer featuring a slightly unusual dash-style movement for the blocky hero.

Combat and movement

As the game advances, you’ll gain access to a variety of basic melee tools such as bombs, stones, and axes. What matters most is learning how the hero moves and how your weapon choices combine with your character’s existing skills to:

Useful Tips

Treasure chests: helmets and weapons

As you clear stages and reach deeper areas, you’ll earn chests. Unlock them using coins, then wait a short moment for the prize to appear.

You can collect coins in multiple ways:

• Earn coins during levels
• Get coins when you rescue a character
• Open the king’s chest

Chests open relatively quickly, so you won’t be stuck waiting long. Among your rewards, you’ll find new outfits, which come with a fresh set of weapons you can use in levels, plus additional items and bonuses.

Rescue characters as companions

After rescuing a character, you can use them as a companion. For example, the first character you rescue is the princess. Once you save her, she becomes your sidekick and arrives with a sword.

When you stop, she will stop slightly ahead and swing her sword at any orc in front of her. Use her to defeat larger orcs that would be hard to knock out with a single jump.

Secret areas and portals

You can always move forward normally, but sometimes you can reach a secret section instead. Stand in front of the large portal/doors and wait until you’re transported.

Secret areas contain a large amount of coins, but they’re also more difficult than the main route. Treat them as a challenge—or as a chance to unlock potential secret characters.

Earn stars, crowns, and coins

Stay focused: you must progress through the game and collect stars, crowns, and coins. These currencies are needed to obtain many important inventory items.
