Gameplay Tips for With Hermione

While solving puzzles and following the clues, you’ll notice an asterisk (*) marking an extra element. If you use that marked piece, the spell becomes too strong for the current level.

• To solve the puzzle: remove the element marked with the asterisk (*).



• After that: place the remaining elements into the correct arrangement by rotating them.
• How to tell it’s correct: the elements will begin to glow.
• How to tell the puzzle is solved (before casting): glowing runes appear around the central piece.

In later stages, the clue scroll is hidden under the puzzle area. You’ll see a bit of the scroll sticking out—click it to reveal what you need.

Element Groups and Rotation Order

There are three groups of elements:

• Corpora Caelestia: circles, triangles, squares
• Elementa Alchemica: pentagons (5 sides), hexagons (6 sides), octagons (8 sides)
• Potentiae Ocultae: heptagons (7 sides)

Priority order: Potentiae ocultae > Elementa alchemica > Corpora Caelestia.

This means:

• Heptagons rotate themselves and everything else.
• Pentagons rotate themselves and the Circles.
• Hexagons rotate themselves and Triangles.
• Octagons rotate themselves and Squares.

Suggested approach: if heptagons are present, rotate them first. Then handle the penta–hexa–octa sequence. Save simpler shapes like circles, triangles, and squares for last.

Cheat Option

You can enable cheating by tapping one of the portraits in the Common Room.
