In Manreign, you step into the role of an underground shelter leader and learn what it means to manage survival behind closed doors. Every run throws new obstacles at you, and you’ll constantly be forced to choose how to keep the facility stable.

The core challenge is balancing population growth, overall stability, and resource consumption. You’re expected to keep developing the shelter, and the game frames your authority as wide-reaching—opening the door to intimate interactions with attractive characters, along with unlocking various H-scene content.

The game is regularly updated with new characters, story moments, and additional H-scenes. Stay alert—more is being added over time.

One of the rare games in this category that actually feels like it has real gameplay. It may share similarities with REIGNS, but it’s genuinely well put together. Exploring is a lot of fun—you keep uncovering new layers of content, hidden events, and even a form of “slave management.” Everything is presented with a distinct style and matching music, which makes the experience feel its own way. Overall, it feels like a real hidden gem.

I really enjoy it. The gameplay is engaging and challenging, the visuals look great, and I also like the soundtrack. The writing is decent, though it’s pretty clear the developer isn’t a native English speaker. Still, that doesn’t bother me much. The latest update adds new improvement options that I personally consider too “cheaty,” and the “consequences” mechanic makes the game too easy to finish—but maybe that’s an improvement overall.

Not much to say yet, especially in the current build. It’s a simple, fun, shortened version of REIGNS. What would really help at this stage:

• Better translation, since some parts of the text need fixing



• A broader overarching story (not required, but it could still be a nice addition)
• More content and events—though given this is around version 0.2.1, it may be reasonable to skip this until later updates

The gameplay keeps you walking a thin line. If you waste resources, you fail—and if you gain too many resources, you fail again. You end up focusing more on managing resources and avoiding instant-loss moments than on the adult content. That can feel pretty harsh for an adult game. I ended up using a workaround/hacking method (there are guides on F95, e.g., searching for how to debug or cheat Twine SugarCube variables) so I could reliably reach the content I wanted.

The scenes themselves are fine, but you may find yourself repeatedly reloading saves, because many “happy” outcomes can lead to an automatic fail. Also, you won’t really transform the vault into a sexual paradise—more like a vault that contains sexual elements you might be allowed to engage with sometimes.

Building trust with department heads can feel pointless: you do it, then you have sex with them, they hate you, and you’re right back to grinding trust again—while still trying to avoid endings that depend on resource thresholds.

Final Verdict

In Manreign, you play as the shelter’s master—Magister. You’ll repeatedly face difficult choices, carefully balancing four key well-being indicators: development, people, stability, and resources.

Just don’t forget: you’re given power, but it comes with responsibility—and with that responsibility often comes plenty of entertainment.
