ZArchiver Pro Introduction
ZArchiver Pro ZArchiver Pro is a powerful file manager for Android that compresses and extracts many archive types quickly. It auto-organizes files, supports 7Z/ZIP/RAR, adds password encryption, and lets you view/edit contents without extracting.
ZArchiver Pro
ZArchiver Pro is a file manager designed to help you handle large numbers of files directly on your phone. On many Android devices, decompressing archives can be unreliable or slow, but this app makes compression and extraction much easier. It can also sort files by type after you compress them, so it’s simpler to locate what you just processed.
The app supports a broad range of compressed formats, including popular ones like 7Z, ZIP, and RAR, as well as less common options such as Gzip, LZ4, and ZST. If you regularly work with these archive types, you’ll get a noticeably different (and smoother) file management experience.
Features

-
Wide Format Support
ZArchiver Pro supports nearly all major compression formats, including 7z, ZIP, RAR, BZIP2, TAR, GZIP, XZ, ISO, and more. Compress or extract files without needing multiple different tools.
-
Encryption & Password Protection
Security is a major strength. You can create password-protected archives and apply advanced encryption to keep sensitive files away from unauthorized access.
-
Fast Compression and Extraction
Optimized processing helps deliver quick compression and decompression, even for large files. If your device supports multi-threading, performance can improve further.
-
View and Edit Inside Archives (No Extraction Required)
You can open and edit archive contents directly without decompressing first. This saves time and prevents storage from being taken up by unnecessary temporary files.
-
Multi-Part Archive Handling
If your archives are split into multiple parts (for example .part1, .part2, etc.), the app can locate and extract them all automatically—so you don’t have to do the process manually.
-
Compatibility with File Types Beyond Archives
In addition to standard compressed formats, it also works with certain image-related formats such as ISO, BIN, and NRG. You can extract and view these files directly on your Android device.
-
Simple, Straightforward Interface
Despite its powerful feature set, ZArchiver Pro stays lightweight and easy to use. The layout is simple and customizable, making it friendly for both beginners and experienced users.
-
Offline and Lightweight
ZArchiver Pro works fully offline, meaning you can compress or decompress without an internet connection. It also uses very little storage space and won’t noticeably drain your battery.
Highlights

- Modify compressed contents directly: Remove or change items inside the archive without rebuilding the whole file from scratch.
- Save time: No need to repeatedly create new files just to make small changes.
- Work with installation files: You can run APK or OBB files on your device reliably.
- Simplified installation: Installation is streamlined through the app, reducing extra steps.
- Easy backups: Built to support backup workflows for different file types.

Review
This app is excellent. You can open the data folder and edit freely, and it’s free. If you installed what you believe is the paid version, it may actually be an unauthorized copy—remove it right away and use the official release from the Google Play Store. Opinions differ on permissions; even developers in China often request permissions, which can be frustrating.
Overall, the current user experience feels great. In the new version, keyword search is extremely fast. Compression and decompression are also convenient, and many other functions are genuinely useful.
One odd issue: some extracted ZIP files end up with garbled or incorrect item names, even though the content itself looks fine. Extracting the same archive using your phone’s built-in file manager produces a properly named folder with the related files inside. It’s unclear where the name-recognition problem comes from (I still prefer this app because the built-in manager feels inconvenient). I hope this can be fixed.
I also hope renaming becomes easier. Instead of requiring one tap and then a long-press to select all, it would be better if selecting all happened automatically so you can rename immediately and edit the content faster.
This is a strong decompression app—I even use it like a file manager now. However, I’ve noticed…
