How Doubao Works

Log in with your phone or TikTok account

You don’t need to register in the usual way to start using Doubao. Some features do require an account, but the sign-up process is simple:

• If you already have TikTok, you can link your account and continue.
• If you don’t, you can enter your phone number and verify it using a one-time password (OTP).

After registration, you can set a username and update your avatar.

Customize your virtual assistant

From the Doubao options menu (tap the three dots at the top-right), you can tailor your experience:

• Choose from 20+ AI voice options.
• Select the language you want your answers in.



• Adjust font size—useful if the default text feels too small.

If there’s an English interface (the website has one), it would be perfect.
