Human Anatomy Atlas Introduction
Human Anatomy Atlas Human Anatomy Atlas brings medical-grade 3D models to your phone. Zoom and swipe to study organs, blood vessels, fascia, and more, with video tutorials and expert learning notes.
Human Anatomy Atlas
Human Anatomy Atlas is a human anatomy model app made especially for medical students. It uses advanced technology and detailed 3D models to help you study anatomy in depth. Swipe to move around the model and use pinch gestures to zoom in and out, so you can examine different structures—including organs, blood vessels, fascia, and more—based on your learning needs.
The app also includes extra learning support such as educational information and video tutorials, helping you strengthen what you’ve studied. Human Anatomy Atlas is designed to keep improving, with additional and even more detailed anatomy models planned for future updates—stay tuned!
Key Features
- Explore a “mini world” of internal organs and body structures from the inside out.
- Sharp, highly detailed graphics that highlight anatomy with strong attention to precision.
- 3D lab experience with hands-on learning and observation.
- View multiple internal parts at the same time so you can compare structures more easily.
- Includes detailed anatomical models for both overall male and overall female views.
- See the full body, and switch perspective by removing internal “visceral shields.”
- Realistic depictions of muscle activity and incisions made in different positions.
- Access models ranging from macro to micro detail (as provided in the app’s library).

Useful Tips

Choose the right search tools
Content Search is ideal when you already know exactly what you’re looking for. To use it, tap the search icon in the lower-left corner, then type the structure’s name. The results include individual structures, system and region views, animations, and quizzes.
Anatomy Search works similarly, but it’s used from within a view. Its main purpose is to add specific structures to what you’re already viewing. Tap the magnifying glass icon, then enter the structure name.
Tip: try to enter fewer words. For example, “piriformis” is typically more efficient than “piriformis muscle.”
You can also filter Anatomy Search results by system using the system icons.
Build views with “big” and “fine” tools
When you create a new view, start with larger controls and then refine:
- Use Systems Tray for the big-picture setup.
- Then use Hide, Fade, and Dissect to fine-tune what you see.

Getting started with custom views
There are multiple ways to begin building a custom view, but a common approach is to start from the main menu by selecting a region or a system view, then customizing from there.
After choosing the starting view you want, a recommended first step is to use the Systems Tray to quickly add or remove large groups of structures.
Use Systems Tray by region for targeted changes
The Systems Tray can do more than just add or remove an entire system. You can also use the region option at the top of the tray to focus on a specific body area.
This lets you do things like:

- Show or hide all muscles in the right arm
- Show or hide arteries in the pelvis

Fine-tune with Hide, Fade, and Dissect
Once you’ve decided on the systems and regions you want, the Hide, Fade, and Dissect tools help you adjust your view precisely.
- After selecting a structure, you can Hide or Fade it from the info box.
- Use Dissect to remove structures immediately as you select them—there’s no need to “slice”.
Layer by layer with Radius Blast
Use the Radius Blast tool to build anatomy layer by layer instead of relying only on dissection.
Version note
Human Anatomy Atlas 2021 is highlighted as a version known for detailed, precise anatomy models and a strong learning experience.
