Wet Sand
Wet Sand is a story-focused casual game where you step into the life of Fabian Brook, an ordinary man framed for theft. Just when you think your fate is sealed, you’re swept into an unexpected role—captaining a pirate ship—and pulled into a bizarre, wonderful adventure.

Your journey isn’t just about surviving among dangerous crew members. As the story unfolds, you’ll also need to earn influence on board. Every crewmate brings their own temperament, motives, and hidden truths.
Through story events, you’ll make different choices that shape what happens next—moving the plot forward, recruiting new allies, resolving problems, strengthening emotional connections, and unlocking special intimate animation scenes.
In the end, the question is simple: will you rise as a legendary pirate king, or will your own crew end you? The outcome depends on the decisions you make.

Living, Reactive Character Interactions
The world feels alive—characters respond to what you do. Be cautious about who you trust: in pirate life, a loyal friend can turn against you in the blink of an eye.
Main Characters
- Anna Schultz: A red-haired “hellcat” with a bold, dangerous edge. Compliments are unlikely to soften her—when a curse comes, her sharp tongue is the one that shows up.
- Philip Schultz: Anna’s cynical brother and the ship’s gunner. He trusts only gunpowder and steel.
- Bill Graves: The old one-legged quartermaster and your primary mentor. He’s survived fire, water, and even grapeshot—and then some.
- Benno: A silent, shy cook who seems quiet for a reason. There’s a secret hiding behind that calm.
- Ethan Huskins: A young cabin boy who’s dreamy, clumsy, and yet fiercely loyal to the crew.
- Olivia Brown: A mysterious aristocratic passenger who’s paying for cabin space on the ship. Her manners are flawless, and her control is firm.
- Lauren Finn: The helmswoman—she never lets go of the wheel… and she rarely lets go of rum either. Cheerful, reckless, and always around when trouble starts.

Changelog
Hey everyone! Hope you’re doing well—we’ve got some updates to share.
Summer’s here, but development is still moving at full speed. At this stage, we’ve already made solid progress: the first quest is fully illustrated, and work has shifted to the next one.
As mentioned earlier, the upcoming update should bring three character quests, along with a couple of connecting scenes between them. Don’t miss the moment to check in on Benno, and make sure to set up a meeting between Loren and Dolores. Also, feel free to use the golden ticket for Madame Nadia’s services.
Things are progressing slowly but steadily. The text is finished and translated. Right now, we’re organizing Chinese language support—most likely Simplified first, then Traditional.
We’re also getting back into the rhythm after a brief “hibernation,” planning to be more active on social media and other channels, updating the content there as well.
The writer is reviewing earlier work—endings, the final quest, and other character quests—and making adjustments. They’re also identifying places where new content can be added retroactively (for example, setting up a date with Anna or Lauren on the same day they keep hinting about—before the island with Lou).

As the story grows, it becomes harder to place everything perfectly, but we’ll do our best to keep it coherent and well-timed.
Illustrations are being drawn, animations are being animated—business as usual. At the same time, we’re already thinking about what comes next after release. Of course, we’ll see everything through to the end and fix bugs, but ideas for the next project are already forming.

Here are a few sketches / work-in-progress visuals. What do you think?
- Two big fighters who won’t hesitate to throw a punch if you get on their bad side.
- An old man design (with a slightly too-long arm, apparently?).
- The creation process for a secondary character lady.

That’s everything for now. Thanks for supporting us and for checking in on our rare-but-worthwhile news!
Player Comments (Wet Sand)
As of May 2026, the game is still in production—version v0.8.7—but it already delivers:
- A captivating story that feels close to complete.
- Strong writing—read through attentively without skipping.
- Great art at times even fantastic, leaving you wanting more.
- While it’s clearly inspired by a well-known franchise featuring iconic-looking pirates, the game still stands on its own with a more original, imaginative plot, occasionally brushing the edge of recognition from other series.

Note: The final line of the original comment appears cut off.
