Features of Agar.io
Dynamic Customization Options

You can freely choose how your cell looks. Use built-in text, symbols, skins, or phrases to give yourself a distinct identity.
Eject Mass (A Strategic Tool)
This special ability helps you take control of the area. Each time you eject mass, you release food and viruses, which you can use to pressure and attack nearby rivals.
Team Up With Friends (Alliance Chance)
You can form alliances with players who share the same goal. Working together increases your odds of reaching the top.
Invisible Walls
The arena includes walls you can’t see. This creates danger—especially for smaller cells—because they can get trapped and eaten if they don’t plan an escape route.
Multiple Skin Choices
Customize your cell with different skins to match the style you want. Personalization makes your gameplay feel more expressive and enjoyable.

Online Multiplayer
Play against players worldwide. Your objective is simple: grow into the largest cell and climb the leaderboard.
Highlights
Eat Smart, Grow Bigger
You begin as a tiny cell, but your goal is to become the biggest blob in the arena. To grow, consume smaller cells and colorful dots. Be careful—some top players may try to eat you as soon as you get close.
As your size increases, your movement becomes slower, so timing matters. On the other hand, every successful bite makes you larger and stronger, improving your chances of victory. The key is balance: split into smaller pieces to catch prey, or use smart positioning to trap opponents. Stay sharp, choose your fights wisely, and keep eating your way forward.
Larger Cells Rule the Battlefield
Size is a powerful advantage in Agar.io. Eating smaller cells and colorful dots helps you expand, but being huge doesn’t always guarantee safety. Those massive blob-types roaming around may look intimidating—but they’re typically slow, which makes them easier targets.
You can also split into smaller parts to move faster and avoid danger. With the right timing, you can even consume those large cells and secure the win.
Split to Stay Safe

In Agar.io, getting bigger can be both helpful and risky. Larger cells are stronger, but they move slower—making it easier for even small cells to get eaten if you’re careless.
Use a smart escape technique: split your cell into multiple smaller pieces. This gives you speed and makes you harder to catch. Splitting is useful for escaping danger, pursuing smaller targets, or dodging those big, slow blobs. Learn to split well and you’ll avoid attacks and win more often.
Merge and Conquer Again
Splitting is great, but sometimes you may feel small when chased by a larger blob. Don’t panic—you can merge again by combining with other parts of your cell that are still floating in the area. Merging helps you regain size quickly.
This is especially helpful for chasing prey after a split, or for recovering strength after escaping danger. Master both splitting and merging, and use them at the right moments to play effectively.
Useful Tips
Virus Eating Rules
- You can eat viruses only if you are split into 16 cells.
- At least one of your cells must have a mass of 130 or more (or be 10% larger than the virus) to consume the virus.
- Each virus you eat grants you 100 mass.
- If you try to eat a virus while you are not split into 16 cells, the virus will pop you and you’ll gain only 10 mass.
- You can also eat red, fountain viruses, but you need one cell with at least 250 mass (10% larger than it).
- Red viruses give you 200 mass.
Watch for Traps
Some players intentionally leave small cells nearby to lure you. When you’re about to eat them, they may split into as many cells as possible, letting the smaller cell consume you instead.
Choose What You Eat Carefully
You gain the most by eating a player who is closest to your own size. Chasing a group of much smaller targets can be tempting, but the rewards are lower—and you may accidentally run into hazards like viruses or larger players, causing you to lose mass.
