UpRace Introduction

UpRace UpRace is a sports community app that logs steps, pace and distance, lets you share runs for likes, and hosts custom competitions with rewards and leaderboard challenges.

UpRace

UpRace

UpRace is a community app made for sports lovers. It logs your workouts with precision—covering steps, pace, and distance—and lets you share your sessions with other members. Friends can react with likes, and your activity becomes part of the community.

You can also create your own sports challenges, choose the rules, and invite people worldwide to take part. As you rack up more mileage inside the app, your level keeps rising, along with the honors you earn. Your progress is tracked on the leaderboard so you can compete with other users and win rewards.

Rules for UpRace (Race Validation)

  • 1. Record achievements: Runners submit each run using a mobile device (for example, a phone or a GPS-capable watch).
  • 2. A valid race must meet all conditions below:
    • a. The run must be marked as completed and appear on the runner’s UpRace account within 72 hours from the start time, and no later than the last day of the event.
    • b. The route/map must be clear, with no critical errors caused by GPS capture problems on mobile devices.
      • Manual imports, results shared by others, or runs recorded under different accounts will not be validated.
      • If running on a treadmill, the result must come from a fitness tracker or smart watch (e.g., Garmin) that can sync with UpRace.
    • c. If the same activity is recorded from multiple devices at the same time, it counts as one activity only. Source priority order: Apple Watch, Garmin, Suunto, Coros, Fitbit, Polar > UpRace.
    • d. Minimum distance is 1 km. There is no maximum limit. You may pause during the run for short breaks.
    • e. The average moving pace (time to complete 1 km) must be:
      • No faster than 3:30 min/km
      • No slower than 15:00 min/km
Also, for any 1 km split, the moving pace must not be faster than 3:00 min/km.
    • f. If the run happens on Sundays during the event period, it must be completed (before 24:00) that same day. Runs on Sundays will be counted with double results toward that day’s achievement.
  • UpRace

  • 3. Active days: You must have at least one valid run on a date that satisfies the rules above.
  • 4. Double-day: Sundays during the event period are treated as double-day.
  • 5. Complete the contest: A runner is certified to complete the contest only after meeting both requirements:
    • a. At least 12 valid days
    • UpRace

    • b. At least 60 km total distance (including double Sunday credit and special day credit)

Note: If you don’t complete the contest (not meeting the minimum 12 valid days and 60 km), your completed kilometers still contribute to the team and are used in sponsor fundraising for a social organization.

  • 6. Achievement date: Credit is counted on the day when the activity starts.

FAQs

How is performance calculated?

Each team’s performance is the sum of all valid performances from participants representing that team in the event. Teams in the same division compete against one another.

Can teams be formed after November 28th and still participate?

Yes. Teams created after the event starts can still join as long as it’s before the end of UpRace. Forming your team before or after the official running start date affects your team’s competitive advantage.

Can I join multiple teams?

No. You can only choose one team to compete for and to accumulate points.

If I want to leave my current team and join another team this year, what should I do?

You cannot switch teams during the ongoing event.

Can I change teams after I make my selection?

You can only change teams before the event begins. Once the event starts (from 00:00 on November 28, 2025), you won’t be able to change the team you selected.

UpRace

If I don’t join any team, will my performance be recorded?

Yes. Your performance will be recorded.
