Heroll Introduction

Heroll Heroll is a roguelike RPG with dice-powered battles. Rebuild a destroyed village, explore procedural dungeons, outsmart enemies with skills, and unlock adorable pets for combat and healing support.

Heroll

Heroll is a roguelike role-playing game where you step into the shoes of a hero trying to rebuild a village that’s been destroyed. Every move is driven by dice rolls. Depending on your luck and decisions, you may discover hidden treasure—or you might run into battles, traps, and dangerous encounters.

Use your wit and luck to take on enemies and grow stronger. As you progress, you’ll build up combat stats such as critical hit, life steal, and attack power to defeat monsters and secure valuable loot. The longer you play, the more adorable pets you can unlock—each one offers different support bonuses. Pets help in fights and healing, making it easier to push deeper.

Core Gameplay Mechanics

Heroll blends classic RPG structure with the unpredictable twists of roguelikes. At the start, you choose a character class, and each class comes with its own skills and abilities designed for different playstyles—whether you prefer close-range combat or magic-focused offense.

After you begin, you’ll explore procedurally generated dungeons filled with both enemies and loot. The layout changes from run to run, but the overall gameplay stays consistent so you can learn enemy patterns and plan your actions more intelligently. Like most roguelikes, the game strongly rewards learning from previous mistakes.

Combat is straightforward but still demanding. You’ll dodge, strike, and use skills to outplay foes. Battles move quickly, so every encounter can be the difference between victory and defeat. Winning earns experience points, letting you level up and unlock or select new skills.

Key Features

Dice-driven decisions

Heroll

The heart of Heroll is a simple rhythm: roll, move, and resolve what happens next. You read the board in front of you, then choose routes that match your comfort with risk. Since events and fights can shift rapidly, strategy matters—but luck is still always in the mix.

Boards, events, and loop progression

Every run mixes combat and surprises, so you won’t repeat the same experience twice. As you reach higher loops, the journey gets tougher and your progress feels more earned. This pacing helps you recognize patterns while still keeping an element of uncertainty.

Pets that support you in battle

You’ll collect and train pets that assist during combat and healing. Picking which companion to bring affects how you handle dangerous tiles and difficult events. Pet support gives you more reliable options without slowing the pace of your run.

Endless loops and surprises

Each board is packed with events and fights, so you never truly know what’s next. Keep pushing through loops to unlock new challenges. Every run strengthens you—more loops typically mean better gear, stronger enemies, and greater rewards.

Restore the ruined village

All of your dice rolls tie into one bigger goal: rebuilding a destroyed village. This mission gives your sessions a clear direction and helps keep your decisions meaningful from one board to the next.

Useful Tips

In-game focus: Aim for crit, life steal, attack power, attack speed, and possibly evasion. The rest are generally not as valuable.

Swapping equipment: If your gear is under-leveled, replace it with higher-level equipment when the stage level difference vs. the item level is more than 5.

Meta strategy: A common approach is to not equip items until level 4, because early equipment often isn’t worth the investment. Instead, save gold for Shop 3, especially if it offers scaling upgrades such as soul absorption or item generation blessings.

Outside the game: Use the hero license relic and follow the strategy above. Relics to aim for include: tea pot, hero license, scissors, and horn.

Spend diamonds only on the red chest. Avoid the purple chest. For relic shards, use only the option on the left.

For equipment, prioritize: shadow spear, pilgrim hood, oath armour, and templar shield. Use your gold to upgrade their levels first, then you can begin upgrading stats later.

In shop: buy with gold only (pets) and diamonds. Pets to aim for are penguin, duck, and raccoon. Fox is also helpful. Later, aim for mouse and cat at level 10.

During a run: Try to collect as many gems as possible, then use them to upgrade potions (focus on the healing amount, not capacity). For alchemy, try to get lightning.

Prioritize upgrades that increase damage, attack speed, and burst potential. Some players even hold off on using a dropped gear piece until around stage 5 to save gems for the stage 6 shop.

On the main game screen (Battle tab), you’ll see a dragon icon. Relic Drop grants more relic shards for use in Relic Draw under Shop > Draws (bottom section). As you defeat more bosses, you’ll gain more relic shards. Target: 5x / 500 relic shards.
