Build Your Tracks and Race

Make your tracks as challenging (or as spectacular) as you want to sharpen your skills. Hot Wheels Unlimited lets you craft race routes using your imagination—then place elements like:

Create your own mega-tracks, then use your fingers to steer, manage turns, and drift through the course. You’ll be rewarded for executing big stunts—think daring jumps, tricky loop sections, and speed-chasing maneuvers like using the boost button to push for maximum speed.

Useful Tips

Always Use Your Boosts

In Hot Wheels Unlimited, winning often comes down to using your speed boost at the right moment. Watch the boost meter—the large circle with a flame icon—because it shows how much boost you currently have.

When the meter is fully charged, empty it and activate the boost by pressing the spacebar (default control). If your boost runs out, you can refill it by driving through the red flame icons placed around the track; they refill your boost after a short delay. Act quickly, since they can be easy to miss.

To reliably collect those red flame icons during a race, try to stay near the center, left, or right lane, because the flame icons are fixed to those positions. Constantly switching sides increases the chance that you’ll pass by them.

For daily challenge puzzles, you can work faster by getting a hint from the jet. Tap the jet icon in the top-left of the screen, and it will guide you toward the exact solution step (including where to act next).
