Many people call them witches.

They may look ordinary at first, but they can wield powers that are just beyond the usual.

Then calamity spreads across the land. Suddenly, witches are feared—and hated.

Not long after, the Church of Longinus begins what becomes known as “The Witch Hunt.”

“Witches are behind this disaster. If we kill them, the calamity will disappear with them!”

The executions begin—one witch after another.

But one day, as the world slips deeper into madness, something new arrives: curses.

A nation is scorched by hellfire. A kingdom is swallowed by crystals. An empire is purged by the Tree of Life.

These are the tragic ambitions of those known as the Witches of Qlipha.

With no way to protect themselves, nation after nation collapses—until finally…

The broken land is cast high into the sky, drifting away.

Meanwhile, the people on the surface still don’t realize what’s happened.
