The game also features a wide variety of tracks and racing modes, so you can pilot your favorite vehicle across memorable locations—cities, deserts, and even do mid-air tricks. On top of that, you can customize your car or bike by changing multiple parts, including paint, bumpers, and tires, to build the look you want.

The key is timing your jump—choose the moment that builds momentum while keeping control. Racing Modes

Asphalt 8: Airborne offers several modes, including Classic Mode, Elimination Mode, Knockout Mode, and Drift Mode.

Classic Mode

This is the game’s most straightforward racing format. Depending on the track, players compete in 2–3 rounds, with 6–8 racers in each round. Your position is based on the order you finish.

Elimination Mode

This mode is designed for heavy competition. The race begins like Classic Mode, but after a certain point a countdown starts. During the countdown, the driver in the lowest position is eliminated. For example: if you’re in 8th place when the timer shows 6 seconds and you don’t catch 7th within the next 6 seconds, your supercar may flip and you’ll be removed from the race. The battle continues until a final winner is decided.

Elimination Rounds

Finishing first isn’t the only goal here. You’ll need strong, skillful driving to beat opponents. Each opponent you defeat increases your score and improves your chances of winning.

Infection Mode

In Infection Mode, the bottom-ranked vehicle gets “infected” 10 seconds after the race begins. The infected vehicle stays trapped on the track for 30 seconds before exploding. However, infected racers still have an advantage: during the poisoning period, they can use nitro an unlimited number of times. To spread the infection, racers must crash into other players’ vehicles. Every successful infection adds 10 seconds to the infected duration. Knocking down an opponent adds 5 seconds, and picking up a nitro boost adds 1 additional second. Once poisoning ends, the vehicle explodes and returns to normal. The race continues until all vehicles reach the finish line, and the first player to cross wins.

Drift Mode

This mode tests your drift technique. You must guide your vehicle through obstacle gates using controlled drifting. You earn points for each gate you pass. To win, reach the required score before the race ends.

Multiplayer Mode

Multiplayer lets you race against players around the world with a reliable internet connection. You can also create private rooms to compete with friends.

After you enter the lobby, you’ll be matched with 7 random players on the same server. You can select the game mode, location, and lap count. Currently, multiplayer supports Classic, Elimination, and Infection modes.
