Prune Introduction

Prune Become a tree craftsman in Prune, a calming casual puzzle. Plant seeds, prune wisely to increase sunlight, and solve fun levels as your seedlings bloom into beautiful flowers.

Prune

Prune is a relaxing casual game where you play a tree “craftsman.” Your job is to help trees thrive by giving them more sunlight and more time to bask in the sun. To do that, you’ll plant seeds with the right tools and then prune your trees so they can bloom beautiful flowers.

Prune

The game offers many levels, and each stage hides its own set of fun puzzles. Use your knowledge to guide each seedling toward better light and finish every level successfully. More levels and puzzles are added over time, so there’s always something new to look forward to.

Strategies for Prune

Prune

Prune is straightforward to learn: plant seeds in the marked spot, then prune your plants so they receive more light and eventually bloom. Still, each level has its own conditions, so you’ll need to read what’s happening and “direct” growth accordingly. Keep these tips in mind:

  • Levels are independent: progress in one level doesn’t affect the others.
  • Avoid black and red objects: if your plant touches black or red elements, it will die immediately.
  • Watch the wind direction: wind can push growth in an unwanted direction.
  • Prune

  • Light matters: in some stages, light is split into sections—stronger light usually helps flowers grow more beautifully.
  • Planting new seeds is possible: you can drop new seeds while an old plant is still growing. When new seeds are delivered, the older plant is destroyed.

Player Comments

“All I can say is… wow.” This game feels deeper than just cutting branches and growing flowers—it feels like a story about survival. Sometimes you finish a level even while “red” infection is spreading, and even though you succeed, there’s still a sense of sadness because you know that tree won’t bloom anymore. It’s a game about GROWING TREES, yet it still pulls at your emotions. Easy five stars—an amazing experience.

“I just started playing a week ago and I love it.” At first glance it looks simple, but there’s much more going on than it seems. That said, there are a few things that could make it even better: I noticed there’s a “ceiling” on how high you can go, and I wondered if it could be unlimited. I also wanted explanations for the different colored “moons” or “suns,” as well as the colored diamonds in the sky—sometimes a blue diamond leads to a blue flower that blooms briefly and then disappears. I’ve also seen moments where branch-cutting doesn’t respond to swipes right away and sometimes takes multiple tries. Lastly, I’m curious whether white branches are always beneficial, since they seem random. Clear explanations at the start would be great.

“Got this game when it went free…” I’m thankful for the generosity during lockdown. At first glance I felt underwhelmed because the pruning concept seemed too simple and maybe boring. But after spending time in the game (I’m at the 4th world), I realized the mechanics develop in a way that feels intuitive without needing constant tutorials. Each puzzle pushes you to focus on solving it in its own unique way.
