Gameplay

In Sound of Horses, your journey begins in a calm countryside town called Homeland. The area keeps a warm, rustic atmosphere—complete with meadows, farms, and the kind of familiar dirt roads you’d expect to find there. You’ll even see people traveling the traditional way: by horse.

From the start, you’re set on a horseback adventure to uncover new lands and new stories. Ready to mount up and explore Homeland?

Riding and controls focus heavily on horses and exploration. Before you begin, you can customize your character’s look and choose a companion horse. Early on, learning to ride doesn’t take long—controls are straightforward, but you’ll want to stay attentive.

Tip: Don’t ride too fast. If you take turns or collide at high speed, you could end up hurting both your character and your horse.

Because the overall pace is fairly relaxed, take your time and enjoy the world. You’ll pass through fields, many residential areas, and more ongoing stories than you can count. Right now, the game content is organized into small episodes so you can explore gradually. Each episode unlocks new areas, adds more tasks to complete, and introduces new things to discover.

In each episode, you can meet NPCs, talk with them, and finish assigned objectives to learn useful information and earn rewards.

Story Episodes

Episode 1

Episode 1 introduces you to Homeland, a quiet, familiar place where the adventure starts. You’ll learn the basics of riding, explore gentle landscapes, and begin noticing early hints that something strange is going on. It slowly pulls you into the larger mystery without overwhelming you.

Episode 2

The Forest Guard opens the door to a parallel world called Other Side. The atmosphere becomes more mysterious as you travel through forests, snow-covered mountains, and old guard paths where forgotten secrets still linger.

Episode 3

Episode 3 brings you to Draconia, a land shaped by riddles, ancient contests, and legendary tales. Here, the environment itself becomes a challenge—testing your ability to interpret clues scattered throughout the region.

Episode 4

Episode 4 takes you to the Steppe, where the Land of the Eagle awaits. The trials you face rely on strength, trust, and precision as you prepare for a final test against the legendary Eagle.

Episode 5

Episode 5 leads to Volcania, a dramatic place of both fire and ice. Its harsh yet breathtaking terrain pushes you toward the last missing pieces of a mystery that spans both worlds.
