Gameplay

Princess Connect! Re: Dive is a real-time action RPG. You’ll form a party of up to five characters to take part in different modes, such as main quests and player-versus-player (PvP) arena battles.

How you get characters

• Obtain new characters through a gacha system.
• Alternatively, you can trade for characters using Memory Pieces tied to specific characters.
• Note: Trading with Memory Pieces isn’t available for event-exclusive characters.

Clans and communication

• Create or join clans to qualify for Clan Battles (similar to raid-style battles in many MMORPGs).
• Chat with clanmates using text and in-game emojis in the clan room.

Combat basics

• Every controllable character has:
  • 1 regular attack
  • 2 Skills
  • 1 EX Skill
  • 1 Union Burst



• In general, you can’t manually trigger normal attacks and Skills—these activate automatically at set times depending on the character.



• EX Skills are stat-boosting abilities that trigger at the start of each battle.
• Union Burst is a powerful move that you can activate manually when the character’s Union Burst Meter (called TP in-game) is fully charged.



• PvP arena modes are different: they run strictly on autoplay, and Union Bursts fire automatically as soon as TP is full.

Strategies

Use the 10-pull gacha early (minimum 3 times)

During your first few days, clearing main quests, completing daily missions, and running the battle arena can give you a huge amount of gems that you can spend on gacha pulls. If you’re F2P, it’s tempting to save them—but as difficulty increases, you’ll want a well-rounded roster, ideally including at least one 3-star character.

Main quest team setup: solid frontline + damage

A strong main-quest formation is typically two frontline tanks and then either 3 DPS, or 2 DPS plus a healer. At the beginning, you can sometimes brute-force with mostly damage dealers, but as enemies gain tougher HP and fights last longer, survivability becomes more important.
