Useful Tips

1) Drag Racing Basics (Timing Matters)

Drag races rely heavily on timing. To get a strong start:

• Rev the engine until the RPM needle reaches the launch zone.
• Tap Launch right when the countdown finishes.
• After launching, tap to shift to the right just before the RPM needle hits red for best results.
• Use nitrous when needed for an extra speed boost.

2) Street Racing (Drafting and Lane Switching)

Street races start with similar timing, but driving on the road is more complex:

• Tap left and right to switch lanes.
• To go fastest, draft behind other cars.
• Draft as long as possible.
• Switch lanes again right before you would collide with another vehicle.
• Drafting helps refill nitrous, so use it as soon as it’s ready.
• Jumps can also help refill N20, but be careful on landing—sometimes you’ll need to tap immediately to get back on the road.

3) Police Chase Stages

Some street races turn into chase stages where police are after you:

• Reach the finish line without being caught by a pursuing cop car.
• Watch out for traffic, since other cars can complicate your route.
• Police may block you by spinning sideways—when this happens, tap quickly to slip into the far lane and avoid them.

4) Takedown Objective

In Story Mode, you’ll also encounter Takedown races:

• Your goal is to hit a specific car a certain number of times.
• After enough hits, the target will flip and become incapacitated.
• Street-racing rules still apply, but don’t always go full speed—sometimes you need to avoid overshooting the target and waiting for it to catch up.

5) Drifting (Practice + Nitrous + Arrow Alignment)

Drifting usually takes the most skill and/or practice:

• The launch technique is similar to other modes.



• Use nitrous as often as you can.



• To refill nitrous, keep your car centered on the arrow line shown on the track.
• Hold your finger on the screen and drag to steer—there’s no need to handle manual shifting.
• Watch the arrow color: green means you’re on the correct line.
