Cruise anywhere you like, then strengthen your ride with upgrades and add-ons—think wheels, bumpers, engines, and more—to boost performance and gain an advantage over drivers worldwide.

The game includes several track experiences such as drift challenges, high-speed circuits, and time trials, each with its own style of fun. It also supports gamepad play, with button layouts you can customize for smoother, more natural driving.

Helpful Tips

Use drifts and stunts to refill Nitrous: Despite its name, the driving feels far from static. Controls are precise and detailed, and drifting is essential. Drifting earns points that contribute toward refilling Nitrous—but you must finish the full drift to count those points. If you hit obstacles mid-drift, the points gained up to that point are canceled, so drift carefully and avoid collisions.

Stunts can also help you build Nitrous boost potential. However, only successful stunts will award points—failed stunts won’t add anything.

Fast travel inside discovered events and locations: You can save time by fast traveling between areas and events you’ve already discovered. New races and smaller activities (like sprint and circuit events) are spread across the map, and fast travel helps you avoid unnecessary driving just to reach the next objective. Use it once you’ve unlocked those locations.

Complete events scattered across the map: To unlock more races and activities, you’ll need to explore thoroughly. Many races, side challenges, and main story missions are placed throughout the world—so keep searching and completing what you find if you want to push your limits.
